Nollywood actress Annie Idibia and her daughter Isabella have recreated a viral scene from Young, Famous and African, sparking excitement among fans on social media.
Earlier this year, Annie became a trending topic and meme sensation after a dramatic clip from season 3 of the hit African reality show went viral. In the scene, Annie confronts her colleague Fantana over celebrity stylist Swanky Jerry’s treatment of her and her then-husband, 2baba.
Annie had vented:
“My mum cooks for Swanky, so imagine how my mum felt and 2face’s mum felt when he said I would mess things up, even 2face wouldn’t survive it. Who the hell are you?”
Fantana, seemingly uninterested, replied “Wow,” to which Annie sharply responded, “It isn’t wow, do your findings.”
The moment blew up on TikTok, inspiring countless recreations. Joining the trend, Isabella recently posted a TikTok video with her famous mother, perfectly re-enacting the heated exchange.
Back in April at the Headies Awards, Annie publicly declared her daughters her backbone and reintroduced herself as Annie Macaulay, announcing she is now single. In May, her second daughter, Olivia, moved her to tears with a touching freestyle song, promising to always stand by her.
Isabella has also openly celebrated her mother, calling her “the best mother a girl could ever ask for” on Mother’s Day.
Earlier in January, legendary singer 2baba announced his separation from Annie and has since moved on with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
