Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has emotionally shared her experience of losing twins during a recent episode of the reality show Young Famous and African.
Speaking to her co-star Quinton Masina, also known as Naked DJ, Annie revealed that she suffered a miscarriage while pregnant with twins a year ago. This heartbreaking revelation shed light on why she had been distant from the show and other public events in 2024.
Describing the past year as one of the toughest in her life, Annie shared how she struggled with the loss and wished she had someone within the group to confide in. She said,
The whole of last year, even in the group, I wasn’t coming out enough. Naked, I was pregnant. For twins. I had a miscarriage the whole time.” The emotional moment revealed the depth of her grief as she admitted that losing the twins was incredibly difficult.
Annie’s heartfelt admission stirred emotions online, with many sympathizing with her loss. However, some online users questioned her decision to continue speaking about her pregnancy, with one user, Koded198, writing, ”

Some also speculated that the trauma from her miscarriage may have contributed to her mental state, with Thefit_Nutritionist commenting, “I feel she’s really hurting and in pain from the trauma of that miscarriage.”
Despite the mixed reactions, many others supported Annie, offering words of encouragement and acknowledging her strength. One user, Being_mrs_baba, advised her to “take a break from the social space and watch yourself heal.”
In addition to her personal struggles, Annie recently trended online for sharing joyful moments with her husband, 2baba, during their Detty December celebrations. Despite facing past challenges, including public cheating accusations against 2baba, Annie remains steadfast in her love for him. She has expressed that, despite their ups and downs, their relationship is built on deep friendship and love, noting that they have been together for 25 years and married for 13.
In September 2023, Annie shared memories from their years together, reaffirming her commitment to her husband, stating that, despite scandals, she still loves him deeply. This comes after a public apology from 2baba in 2023, where he denounced his “role model” title and expressed regret over past mistakes. Annie continues to express her unwavering affection, referring to him as her “home, rest, heart, and safe place.”
