Nigerian clergyman Apostle Johnson Suleman has openly called out billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote and the Dangote Group over what he described as reckless operations leading to loss of lives.
Taking to his Instagram page, Suleman alleged that one of Dangote’s trucks killed three people in Auchi, Edo State. He accused the company of entrusting trucks to untrained young drivers who, according to him, are often under the influence of drugs.
In his words:
“@aliko_dangotegcon, you are not the only rich man on earth. Your recklessness in managing your business has caused harm to families and made many parents childless. Your truck just killed 3 people a few minutes ago in Auchi. You give trucks to little boys who are high on drugs and untrained. This won’t go unchallenged.”
This comes just days after BBNaija winner Phyna also called out Dangote and his company after one of their trucks rammed into her sister. Phyna accused the company of attempting to cover up the incident by allegedly instructing the police to remove the truck’s plate number.
Following the public outcry, Dangote Group issued a press release, pledging full support for Phyna’s sister, including comprehensive medical care and appropriate compensation. However, Phyna criticized the statement, pointing out the irony of wishing her sister a “quick recovery” after her leg had already been amputated. She also raised concerns about the critical condition of the bike rider involved in the accident.
