Wedding bells are ringing for former Big Brother Naija housemate Leo Da Silva, as he prepares to marry his fiancée, Maryam Laushi.

The reality star shared his pre-wedding photos on Instagram Thursday evening, accompanied by a Bible verse, marking the countdown to their big day.

The announcement quickly drew congratulatory messages from fellow BBNaija alumni, celebrities, and fans. Teddy A commented, “Royalty. Congratulations, brother,” while Queen Mercy Atang simply wrote, “Congratulations.” Actor Stan Nze and actress Funmi Awelewa also joined in, with Stan writing, “Congratulations, brother,” and Funmi posting love emojis.

Other well-wishers included Bambam, who exclaimed,

“Power! Congratulations, brother,” and Nina Ivy, who added her congratulations. Even Queen Tobi Phillips, the fourth wife of the Ooni of Ife, shared her joy with love emojis.

Among the fans, Yinks B observed,

You people are already looking alike o,” while Bubu Zyech humorously asked, “Can we single people breathe?” Hussy Queen extended her blessings, saying, “Congratulations, Leo. May God bless your home, insha Allah. Amen.” KB Fatima praised the photos, calling them, “So beautifully shot.”

In November,  Leo held a wedding introduction with Maryam in Kaduna. The event, rich with cultural significance, drew attention online due to Maryam’s Muslim background and Leo’s recent graduation from Theology school. Despite differing religious backgrounds, the couple’s union is a testament to their love and commitment.

Leo recently completed a two-year course in Theology, which earned him a license to enter the Ministry, making his choice of a Muslim partner even more noteworthy. Their relationship symbolizes unity and understanding across faiths.

Leo is not alone in his journey to the altar this year. In April, fellow BBNaija alum Peace Ogor got engaged, sharing a heartfelt moment as her lover proposed in front of family and friends. Actress Sharon Ooja also announced her engagement and subsequent marriage in March, thanking Adesua Etomi and Banky W for their support during her wedding preparations.

As Leo Da Silva and Maryam Laushi prepare to embark on this new chapter together, fans and colleagues alike celebrate their love story and eagerly await their wedding day.
