Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo has sparked conversation online after vowing to make an example of a man who called her a thief.

The Yoruba movie star had shared a promotional video for a landed property on her Instagram page. In her caption, she mistakenly quoted the house price as ₦50 million. Her followers quickly pointed out that her colleague, Biola Bayo, had earlier advertised the same house for ₦40 million.

While many fans simply corrected the price, one man, believed to be affiliated with the movie industry, took things too far by calling her a “thief agent” in the comments.

The statement didn’t sit well with Biodun, who wasted no time firing back. She vowed to ensure the man proves his accusation, declaring she would make him a scapegoat.

“That guy sitting beside Aunty Jaiye Kuti just called me a thief. On top of a property he doesn’t even know the real owner. I’m going to use you as a scapegoat. You must prove that I’m a thief else,” she wrote.

This isn’t the first time the actress has had to deal with online negativity. A few weeks ago, she revealed that she and her husband were being stalked by someone obsessed with them and wondered whether to report the case to the authorities.

She also recently clapped back at a troll who questioned her friendship with comedian Cute Abiola, saying she blamed the blogger who spread the false rumours. The mother of two prayed that God would expose and disgrace the person behind the gossip.

Despite the drama, Biodun often uses her platform to share inspiring thoughts and advice with her followers. She once encouraged fans going through tough times not to lose hope, reminding them that hard seasons don’t last forever.
