Relationship therapist Blessing CEO has spoken out following the recent arrest of her partner, IVD, at the airport while attempting to travel to Qatar.
According to reports, the auto dealer was arrested last week over an ongoing domestic violence case involving his late wife, Bimbo. The matter, which is still in court, allegedly restricts him from leaving Nigeria until its resolution.
Reacting to the incident, Blessing took to Instagram to confirm the arrest and defended IVD, insisting there was no legal travel ban placed on him. She accused certain individuals of bullying and intimidating her partner and called on the Lagos State government to intervene.
In a now-deleted post shared on IVD’s Instagram story, Blessing vented:
“They are pushing me so hard. I will drop this love and come out with my full garment. They are bullying IVD, and it’s getting out of hand. IVD is innocent.
I am not a coward. These people are using my man. I won’t tolerate this anymore.”
Blessing’s defence of IVD comes amid ongoing public scrutiny surrounding him since the tragic death of his wife, Bimbo, in October 2022, following a series of alleged domestic violence incidents.
Since then, IVD has been the subject of multiple controversies—from accusations of murder and fetish practices to claims of infidelity and involvement in a nightclub shooting.
Bimbo’s sister, known as Mama Jazz, has publicly blamed IVD for the death of the young mother, further intensifying public backlash against him.
