Bobby Maris, husband of actress Uche Ogbodo, has stirred controversy by criticizing legendary singer 2Baba for his comments on the alleged assassination attempt on former US president Donald Trump.
On Saturday, Trump, who is running for the presidential election, was nearly assassinated during his rally in Pennsylvania. He was shot in the head while delivering his speech, causing chaos as Secret Service officials quickly rushed him off the stage and into a vehicle. Despite the dramatic incident, Trump walked off the stage with agents by his side.
2Baba took to social media to express his skepticism about the incident. He compared the event to a Hollywood production, stating,

Reacting to 2Baba’s comments via a blog’s comment section, Bobby Maris called the legendary singer delusional, stating, “Delulu, it’s not staged.” His comment did not sit well with some netizens who dragged him for believing the incident was genuine.

This isn’t the first time 2Baba has faced backlash for his comments on political matters. Last year, he was criticized for his remarks about the FBI’s plans to release documents related to President Tinubu. He suggested that the FBI should also release documents involving various other figures, including former US presidents and international leaders, implying that Nigeria should handle its issues independently. This response triggered a strong reaction from netizens who questioned his stance and reminded him of his own controversies.
