Veteran Nollywood actress Bukky Wright opens up on remarriage plans, revealing in a BBC interview that she’s willing to give love another chance—if it’s God’s will.

Respected Nollywood actress Bukky Wright has shared her thoughts on remarriage, stating clearly that she’s open to settling down again—but only if it aligns with God’s plan for her life.

In an interview with the BBC, the Yoruba film star said she still believes in love and marriage, but won’t go out of her way chasing it. According to her, if God presents the right man, she will embrace it, but if not, she’s content with how her life is unfolding.

“If God has a man who goes to the age of six, I won’t wait until he is five and a half. If God says he will go to the top of the mountain, he will not stop until he reaches the top of the mountain. It’s something I like, but only if God forbids it. I don’t tell women to try it, because I like it,” she said.

During the conversation, Bukky also addressed the growing trend of actresses exposing their bodies, clarifying that it’s not exclusive to those in the film industry. She observed that many women in Nigeria have joined the trend, often without considering the reasons behind it.

She shared that she sometimes asks men why women feel the need to reveal their bodies, and surprisingly, many men say they prefer women who dress modestly.

The actress also highlighted how changes in equipment and technology have influenced the theatre and film industry over the years. She urged her fans to watch out for her upcoming projects.

Earlier in February, Bukky Wright opened up about her battle with depression in a sit-down with Teju Baby Face. She revealed she had to rely on medication at some point, and that her children played a major role in helping her heal. She praised her sons for being her greatest supporters and toughest critics.

Last year, fans were thrilled when she made a comeback to Nollywood with the film Red Circle, directed by Nora Awolowo. Her return to the screen was highly anticipated, and the producers confirmed that her appearance was in response to popular demand.
