Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate live-in caregiver to join our orphanage in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. As a caregiver, you will play a crucial role in providing care, support, and guidance to the children residing in our orphanage.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and support to children residing in the orphanage
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for the children
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, and medication administration
- Implement educational and recreational activities to promote the physical, emotional, and social development of the children
- Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere within the orphanage
- Collaborate with other caregivers and staff members to ensure the well-being of the children
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and progress of the children
Qualification
- Proven experience as a caregiver, preferably in an orphanage or similar environment
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of child development and psychology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patience, empathy, and sensitivity in dealing with children from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Certification in childcare or relevant field is an added advantage
