Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Commissioning Engineer (Lift/Elevators) located in Ireland. The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for commissioning of elevators.
Responsibilities
- Work in accordance with the commissioning processes utilizing all checklists and ensuring that all statutory paperwork is sent to the office promptly.
- Always ensure that Health and Safety is foremost on everyone’s mind. Monitor all operations to ensure safe execution. Achieve zero accidents, zero incidents.
- Analysis of specifications and drawings and ensure the lift equipment is installed fully in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Report any installation defects to the installation supervisor so they can be addressed.
- Ensure all third-party services associated with the compliance of the lift installations including fire alarms, lighting etc. are in place and operational.
- Monitoring of progress on sites to continually update site start dates to allow labor resources to be efficiently utilised.
- Testing of the lift installations in accordance with European Standards and manufacturers’ guidelines ensuring the finished product is of the highest quality and fully complaint with standards. It is also important that handed over lifts are snag free and warranty call out rate is achieved.
- Report to the office on all site operations daily to ensure efficiency of operations.
Qualifications
- Experience in commissioning of elevators
- Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of electrical engineering principles
- Ability to perform testing and diagnose issues
- Attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in electrical engineering or related field
