Cubana Chief Priest Addresses Backlash Over Kneeling to Greet President Tinubu

Nigerian socialite Cubana Chief Priest has responded to critics dragging him for kneeling while greeting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The socialite shared his perspective in a lengthy Instagram post, addressing the outrage and accusations of hypocrisy from his detractors.

In a video shared on his social media, Cubana Chief Priest is seen kneeling to greet President Tinubu during their meeting. The socialite emphasized that his admiration for the president is unshakeable, declaring that his actions stem from respect and alignment with his vision.

Acknowledging the backlash, Cubana highlighted that people are not upset about his kneeling but rather envious of his consistent access to influential figures. He compared the criticisms aimed at him to those directed at Tinubu before he ascended to the presidency, stating:

“Na so una abuse them till they became the presidency, na so una go abuse me till I become wetin dey my mind to become.”

He also shared throwback photos of him and his wife kneeling while greeting Vice President Kashim Shettima, reiterating that loyalty is a core value for him.

The socialite expressed pride in his decision to honor the presidency, claiming he feels “super comfortable” showing reverence to leaders. He reaffirmed his loyalty to Tinubu’s administration and described his humility as a personal strength.

“CP shall Kneel, Stand, Walk, Work, Dance, Sleep, Grow, & Explore. #CpNoSmall.”

Cubana Chief Priest has recently engaged with several high-profile figures, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio. Sharing clips of their meeting, Cubana advised his followers to align themselves with individuals who represent their aspirations.

In addition to his political connections, he praised his long-time friend Davido, stating that anyone associated with the music star holds significant power.

Rumors also circulated about a physical altercation between Cubana Chief Priest and music executive Ubi Franklin during the 30BG trip to Abuja. Ubi Franklin dismissed the story as baseless, calling out those who believed the rumours.
