Actress Damilola Adegbite has set a new standard for romantic gestures with a recent story about how a determined man went to great lengths to get her attention.
In a social media post, Damilola recounted the unique encounter:
Some years ago, I was driving to work and got stuck in traffic when someone bumped into my car. I had to step out to assess the damage, feeling irritated by the situation. However, my mood shifted when I saw how good-looking the guy who hit my car was. He immediately apologized and offered to send someone to pick up my car from wherever I was headed and fix the dent.
I declined, saying I didn’t know him well enough to trust him with my car. He then suggested sending workmen to fix it while I was at work. We exchanged numbers, and true to his word, the guys came and sorted out the car. After they were done, another man came to me with a HUGE bouquet of flowers and a note that read, ‘I’m sorry for hitting your car, but it was the only way I could get your number.’ I thought that was very slick.”
Damilola Adegbite has largely kept her romantic life private since her divorce, making this story a rare glimpse into that aspect of her life. The last time she was rumored to be romantically involved was with actor Ninalowo Bolanle, who recently went through a divorce.
Although neither Damilola nor Ninalowo confirmed the relationship, they often left flirtatious comments on each other’s social media posts. However, those rumors have since quieted down, possibly due to their interactions on social media becoming less frequent.
