Controversial media personality Daniel Regha has stirred debate on social media with his recent comments regarding Alex Otti’s administration in Abia State, particularly concerning the Geometric Power Plant project.
In a statement on the X platform, Regha questioned the widespread praise directed at Alex Otti for the power plant, arguing that it was actually a project initiated by Bartholomew Nnaji, not Otti’s administration. He emphasized that Otti was merely the sitting governor at the time of its commissioning and should not receive credit for work done by his predecessor.
Regha believes that governors should only be celebrated for projects initiated or significantly advanced during their tenure, rather than simply being in office when projects are completed.
This is not the first time Regha has sparked controversy with his outspoken views. Just days ago, he addressed the issue of ethnic silence amid economic challenges, suggesting that those who prioritize ethnicity over constructive criticism are complicit in Nigeria’s governance issues. His comments were interpreted by many as directed towards the Igbo tribe, stirring further debate on Nigerian politics and societal dynamics.
