Award-winning music star Davido has expanded his luxurious fleet with the acquisition of a Tesla Cybertruck, joining his already impressive lineup.

Taking to his Instagram story, the singer humorously shared that he made the purchase out of boredom, mentioning that the Cybertruck would accompany his Rolls Royce Spectre, currently being shipped to Nigeria.

The 2024 Matte Black Tesla Cybertruck, reportedly valued at over ₦254 million, is a cutting-edge addition to his collection. Davido wrote, “I was bored and added the Cyber!! @blacktycoone war ur tracky ship dey wait!!”

As always, the announcement generated a mix of reactions online:

  • One user, Cognitive Virtuoso, jokingly commented, “Davido is poor. It’s only poor people that behave like this.”
  • Tim Blogga noted, “The rate at which people are now going for electric cars.”
  • Eckivosta humorously added, “Na this kind boredom I wan dey get.”
  • Swiss Street Interiors remarked, “There are levels to this beef things. This one is a meaty beef.”
  • Dpizu15 exclaimed, “Imagine he is just bored.”
  • I Am Kwin proudly stated, “Davido is who he thinks he is.”
  • Prince Matty 1 asserted, “Davido no be their mate!!”

Earlier this year, Davido made headlines when he splurged nearly a billion naira on a Rolls Royce Spectre. Just days ago, the automobile company confirmed that the car was ready for delivery, with Davido reposting a video featuring his aide, Lati, in communication with the company’s representatives.

Additionally, in a show of unparalleled wealth, Davido recently took delivery of a Bombardier 7500 private jet, valued between $68 million to $78 million. The news of his latest assets sparked conversation, with some offering their congratulations and others doubting his ownership, labeling him a “clout chaser.”

In response to those skeptical claims, particularly one made by music producer Samklef—who alleged that Davido’s billionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke, was the actual owner of the jet—Davido’s aide, Isreal DMW, stepped in. He clarified that the jet indeed belongs to Davido and not his father. Isreal took the opportunity to advise followers to align themselves with people who have clear visions for success and wished Davido more blessings in the future.
