Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has once again expressed gratitude to God while sharing highlights from his recent tour.
Posting on Instagram, the father of five, who is set to tie the knot with his wife Chioma in a lavish white wedding, declared:
“I’m Badd!! Forget!! Thank u God!!!”
Friends, fans, and celebrities filled his comment section with praise, with Omoni Oboli writing, “God is the greatest 001” and others calling him “King” and “Baddest.”
However, reports have surfaced that Chioma’s parents will miss the big day. According to blogger Stella Dimoko Korkus, their 5-year US visas were revoked and a 10-year ban placed on them after they allegedly overstayed in the United States following the couple’s traditional wedding last year.
The report claims Chioma’s parents were meant to return earlier but remained in the US for over a year, which violated the visa terms. Unfortunately, this means her father will not be walking her down the aisle in Miami.
Online reactions were mixed — while some fans felt the most important part was the traditional wedding they already attended, others questioned why the ceremony wasn’t moved to a location her parents could join.
Davido and Chioma, however, seem unfazed. The couple has been spotted in Miami enjoying pre-wedding festivities with family, friends, and the 30BG crew. In viral clips, the singer was seen clinging affectionately to his bride-to-be, drawing playful comments from fans.
This grand event follows their star-studded traditional wedding in Lagos last year, which had top dignitaries in attendance, including state governors, the Ooni of Ife, and billionaire business moguls. At the time, Davido publicly promised lifetime assurance to Chioma, pledging to protect, respect, and connect her forever.
Beyond the celebrations, Davido has also opened up in interviews about personal growth, crediting Chioma as a key part of his success and vowing never to cheat again. According to him, his business always suffers whenever they have misunderstandings, and her role as a loving stepmother to his other children is something he deeply treasures.
