Media personality and businessman Dele Momodu has extended his heartfelt congratulations to music star Davido and his wife, Chioma, on their wedding.
Taking to his Instagram page, the Ovation TV boss shared a photo of the couple accompanied by a warm message.
In his message, Dele Momodu conveyed his family’s best wishes to the newlyweds, praying for their continued prosperity, good health, and boundless happiness. He wrote:
On behalf of the MOMODU family of Ihievbe, Edo State, I wish to send our heartiest congratulations to Davido and his lovely wife @thechefchi on this special day of their wedding. May God Almighty bless the union and provide you with good health, more prosperity, and unlimited happiness.”
Dele Momodu’s congratulatory message comes as a surprise, particularly given the ongoing tension between Davido and his niece, Sophia Momodu, who is the mother of his first child, Imade.
Earlier, Davido filed a lawsuit seeking joint custody of their daughter, accusing Sophia of denying him access and extorting money from him. He claimed that despite their initial agreement to co-parent amicably, Sophia had rejected his house offer and was demanding a monthly rent of N5 million.
In response, Sophia revealed that she had an affair with Davido from 2020-2022, while he was still dating Chioma. She denied the allegations of denying Davido access to their daughter, asserting that Davido had not attempted to meet Imade and had abandoned her because she refused to engage in a sexual relationship with him.
Tensions escalated when Davido publicly declared his love for Chioma and reunited with her, leaving Sophia feeling slighted. Sophia expressed her frustration through social media, accusing Davido of financial abuse and criticizing him for prioritizing his relationship with Chioma over his responsibilities as a father.
