Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko has reacted to a viral video of her lookalike baby that has taken social media by storm.
Over the past few days, TikTok and Facebook have been flooded with clips and photos of a baby who shares an uncanny resemblance with the curvy actress. Many users couldn’t help but point out how much the child looks like Destiny, with some even mistaking the baby for hers.
Reacting to the buzz, Destiny Etiko took to Instagram to clear the air. She revealed that she had been receiving countless tags and messages about the video, and jokingly asked why God decided to give her child to someone else.
Sharing another video of the adorable baby on her page, the actress expressed amazement over their resemblance. She affectionately referred to the child as her “mini-me” and wrote:
“Little drama doll is happy.
Mini-me.
God dey do wonders.”
Her post immediately drew reactions from her colleagues and fans who were equally stunned by the resemblance.
Onyi Alex commented, “See resemblance!”
Uju Okoli added, “Looking at this little princess, I’m just smiling and imagining when you were young. I wan born o!”
Georgina Ibeh wrote, “Omo, resemblance too much!”
This isn’t the first time Destiny Etiko has trended for her motherly side. Back in 2022, she confirmed that she had cut ties with her goddaughter, Chinenye Eucharia, citing ungratefulness and disrespect. According to her, she had picked Chinenye from humble beginnings, trained her, and showered her with love, only to be repaid with disloyalty.
Despite the fallout, Destiny admitted she still loves her former goddaughter and wishes her well. In 2023, she introduced a new adopted daughter, promising to keep showing kindness regardless of past experiences. Taking a subtle dig at Chinenye, she noted that her new daughter was still very young and wouldn’t have the same attitude.
