Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, widely known as DJ Cuppy, has shared a touching tribute to her mother, Nana Otedola, by visiting her long-established dry cleaning factory.
On Instagram, Cuppy posted a video of her visit to Garment Care Ltd, a business founded by her mother in 1999. Now celebrating 25 years, Garment Care is recognized as one of the leading dry cleaning services in Nigeria. Cuppy expressed her admiration for her mother’s entrepreneurial journey, noting that seeing her mother’s success serves as a daily inspiration.
She wrote,
In 1999, my mum founded @GarmentCareLTD, and 25 years later, it is now by far the BEST dry cleaning business in the whole country! 🫧🧺🇳🇬 As a female CEO, her entrepreneurial spirit inspires me daily, so I decided to visit her factory for some motivation. I was SO impressed—her team even put me to work (for free)! @Nana_Otedola, watching you grow this business from its humble beginnings to a renowned establishment has reminded me to always strive for perseverance and excellence in what I do. In a previous birthday post for her mother, DJ Cuppy expressed deep gratitude, praising Nana Otedola as her greatest supporter and a constant source of encouragement. She described her mother as her biggest cheerleader, trusted confidant, and the strongest prayer warrior.
However, DJ Cuppy has not shied away from playful family moments either. Last year, she humorously called out her mother for subtly commenting on her fashion choices. Despite Nana Otedola’s fashion advice, the singer remained appreciative of her mother’s guidance.
