The family of late Nollywood veteran actor Dayo Adewunmi, popularly known as Sule Suebebe, has allegedly rejected his corpse.
The actor passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, June 12th, at an undisclosed hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The news of his demise was shared by Ibadan-based cleric Pastor Ademola Amusan, also known as Agbala Gabriel, who had been caring for Suebebe during his illness. Announcing the actor’s death on Facebook, Pastor Amusan expressed his sorrow and prayed for Suebebe’s soul to rest in peace.
According to a social media user, the actor’s family has refused to take his corpse from the clergyman.

A few months before his death, Sule Suebebe received a new house as a gift from Pastor Gabriel. Videos showed the veteran actor, who was in a wheelchair, expressing gratitude and offering prayers for the clergyman and his congregation.
In his final days, Suebebe publicly sought forgiveness from women he had wronged during his youth, admitting to past mistakes and a wayward lifestyle, especially during his time as a musician. He took accountability for his actions in an emotional video, asking for forgiveness.
As the Nollywood community mourns the loss of Sule Suebebe, the controversy surrounding his burial adds another layer of sadness to his passing.
