Femi Adebayo’s Seven Doors Earns 11 AMVCA Nominations

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo Salami continues to set milestones in the film industry as his 2024 movie, Seven Doors, bags an impressive 11 nominations at the 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).

Seven Doors, starring renowned actors such as Chioma Akpotha and Kolawole Ajeyemi, received nominations in the following categories:

  • Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa)

  • Best Lead Actress – Chioma Akpotha

  • Best Lead Actor – Femi Adebayo

  • Best Supporting Actor – Aliu Gafar

  • Best Director – Femi Adebayo, Adebayo Tijani, and Tope Adebayo Salami

  • Best Sound and Sound Design – Pius Fatoke, Tyanx, Adam Songbird

  • Best Scripted Series – Femi Adebayo

  • Best Writer (TV Series) – Adebayo Tijani, Yinka Laoye, General Yombo

  • Best Make-Up – Hakeem Effect

  • Best Art – Tunji Afolayan

  • Best Music Score – Tyanx

Femi Adebayo’s filmmaking journey has been nothing short of phenomenal. His previous movie, Jagun Jagun, released on Netflix, broke records with 2.1 million views globally and ranked 5th on the Non-English Charts.

In 2024, Jagun Jagun bagged seven nominations at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) and won four awards at the Best of Nollywood (BON) awards, including Best Actor, Best Use of Costume, Best Art Design, and Best Use of Effect.

Additionally, Femi Adebayo clinched an award at the Odunlade Adekola Film Production Awards, further solidifying his status as one of Nollywood’s most celebrated filmmakers.

As Seven Doors competes for the prestigious AMVCA awards, Femi Adebayo has called on fans to vote for the movie in the Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa) category, urging them to be part of the history-making journey.
