The ongoing feud between the Okoye brothers has now extended to their wives, as Ify Okoye, wife of Psquare’s elder brother Jude, has unfollowed Lola Omotayo Okoye, wife of Peter Okoye.
The tension between the families continues to build, drawing attention across social media.
Report has it that Ify Okoye, mother of three, recently unfollowed her sister-in-law Lola Omotayo Okoye on Instagram. Despite the apparent rift, Lola is still following Ify at the time of this report.
This incident comes amid rumors of escalating tensions within the Okoye family. Last June, controversial blogger Stella Dimokokorkus alleged that a conflict was brewing between the Psquare brothers and their elder sibling, Jude Okoye, over alleged misappropriation of joint funds. It was rumored that the EFCC had intervened, leading to Jude’s detention.
In July, Instagram blogger Cutie Juls claimed that Paul and Jude Okoye had been arrested by the commission, a report later confirmed by Paul, who took to Instagram to celebrate his clearance. Paul further opened up about his relationship with his twin brother Peter, recounting how Peter had them arrested by the EFCC in December 2023. After a thorough investigation, Paul was declared innocent, but he confirmed that Peter was the one who initiated their elder brother’s arrest.
Peter, however, responded to these claims, clarifying that he only filed a petition with the commission against Jude after discovering that he was diverting their money into a secret account shared with his wife. He emphasized that he never intended for his twin brother to be arrested.
Following the recent development, many netizens have shown support for Lola Omotayo Okoye, applauding her maturity in handling the situation.
