Renowned filmmaker Zeb Ejiro recently shared how the collapse of the marriage of late veteran actor Obinna Nwafor, popularly known as Saint Obi, deeply affected him and contributed to the actor’s ongoing struggle until his unfortunate demise.
In an interview with Vanguard, Ejiro expressed his belief that Obi couldn’t bear the emotional toll of living apart from his family. Ejiro described Obi as a devoted family man who cherished being with his children and creating a harmonious home. The breakdown of his marriage had a profound impact on him and he was unable to recover from the shock.
Ejiro also revealed that he received a call from Saint Obi two weeks prior to his passing, during which the actor disclosed his protracted illness. Obi shared that he had undergone multiple surgeries and his health had not shown any signs of improvement. As a result, his sister arranged for him to receive treatment in Jos. Unfortunately, this was the last conversation Ejiro had with Obi, as he had intended to reach out again but was devastated to learn of the actor’s untimely demise.
