Queen Wuraola Zainab, the former wife of the Ooni of Ife, has begun the year 2025 with heartfelt reflections on her journey of resilience and gratitude.
Sharing a radiant photo on Instagram, the Edo State Princess expressed her appreciation for God’s mercies that have seen her through life’s highs and lows while offering prayers for courage and possibilities in the year ahead.
In her Instagram post, Queen Wuraola acknowledged the trials and triumphs that shaped her character and taught her valuable lessons in resilience and gratitude. She prayed for 2025 to be a year of new challenges, inspiring adventures, and the courage to dream and achieve big.
Her post read:
“As we stand on the threshold of a new year, I reflect on the mercy of God that has carried us through both trials and triumphs. Each experience has shaped us, teaching us resilience and gratitude.
I pray that this year brings us courage to face new challenges, adventures that excite our spirits, and the possibilities that inspire us to dream bigger and conquer those dreams…”
Queen Wuraola also emphasized the importance of faith and hope in navigating the journey ahead while celebrating love, support, and divine grace as essential companions.
It was previously reported that after her marriage to the Ooni of Ife ended in 2017, Queen Wuraola relocated to Doha, Qatar, where she embraced a luxurious lifestyle and ventured into business, owning prominent stores in the Middle East.
Finding love again, she married a wealthy Arab prince, and after years of waiting, the couple welcomed a baby girl. Though the details about her daughter and husband remain private, Queen Wuraola has openly expressed her gratitude for this new phase of life.
Queen Wuraola is known for her advocacy for women’s empowerment. In a 2017 address, she stated that marriage is not the definitive measure of a woman’s worth. Her journey exemplifies strength and the ability to find purpose beyond societal expectations.
