Lewis Hamilton, a British Formula One driver, will leave Mercedes to join Ferrari for the 2025 season.
According to Sky Sports News, Toto Wolff, the team’s CEO, will inform the Mercedes factory before making a public statement later today.
Recall that Hamilton was rumoured to join Ferrari for the 2024 season.
However, the seven-time world champion signed a two-year deal for £100 million last summer, committing to stay until the end of 2025.
According to the newest development, the 39-year-old is entitled to quit Mercedes at the end of the year.
Hamilton is anticipated to succeed Carlos Sainz at Ferrari.
Sainz’s contract is set to expire at the end of 2024.
