Nollywood actor Godwin Nnadiekwe has been hospitalized following an unexpected injury caused by his colleague, Zubby Michael, during a movie shoot.
In a post shared on Instagram, Godwin revealed that while filming a scene, Zubby kicked him in the chest—a move that was neither part of the script nor directed by the filmmaker. The incident left him in significant pain and raised concerns about safety standards in Nollywood productions.
Sharing more details, Godwin explained:
“This isn’t to call anyone out but to emphasize the need for safety on set. During a scene, I received a kick to the chest from my colleague, which wasn’t planned. It has caused me severe discomfort, requiring medication I had to manage on my own without any assistance.
Working without proper insurance policies or accessible first-aid measures makes unexpected actions like these potentially dangerous. Let’s all stick to the script and ensure everyone feels secure. What if something worse had happened? Our well-being must come first. Peace!”
In a follow-up announcement, his management confirmed that the actor was rushed to the hospital for internal bleeding and is undergoing treatment. They assured fans of timely updates while expressing gratitude for the outpouring of concern and support.
