Despite the recent surge in fuel prices, Nigerian lawmaker Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan has brought joy to commercial motorbike riders in Ekiti state through a heartwarming initiative. The philanthropic politician, known for his dedication to social good, drove the efforts to provide free fuel to alleviate the impact of fuel subsidy removal.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) set the new gasoline price in Ekiti at N500 per litre. In response to this price adjustment, Opeyemi took action to support the local community. In a video shared on his foundation’s social media pages, Opeyemi can be seen driving a line of motorbike riders to a gas station. There, he ensured their fuel tanks were filled.

The footage captures the riders patiently waiting in line, forming a long queue with their motorbikes. Opeyemi’s kind gesture provided a sense of relief and assistance to these individuals. Particularly those who heavily rely on their motorcycles for their livelihoods.

Sharing the news on Instagram, Opeyemi expressed his commitment to serving humanity and highlighted the significance of his initiative. His act of compassion and support for the okada riders during the fuel scarcity resonated deeply within the community. It has earned him praise and admiration from the community and beyond.

The rising fuel prices have placed a burden on many Nigerians, particularly those working in the transportation sector. Opeyemi’s intervention helps alleviate their financial strain. It also brings a sense of hope and solidarity during these challenging times.
