Despite rumors of a friendship between Mourinho and United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the two-time Champions League winner does not anticipate an approach from his former club.
Speculation about Mourinho’s interest in the Manchester United job arises following the team’s recent setback, suffering a humiliating 4-0 defeat against Crystal Palace. The defeat has left current manager Erik ten Hag’s side languishing in eighth place in the Premier League standings.
During his previous tenure at Manchester United, Mourinho secured notable success, winning the Europa League and League Cup during his two-and-a-half-year tenure.
