Nollywood actress Jumoke Odetola has firmly addressed the constant curiosity surrounding her love life—and this time, she’s not holding back.
Jumoke Odetola tells off critics asking about her relationship status, urging the public to stop poking into matters that do not concern them.
Taking to her Instagram page, the award-winning actress shared a strongly worded post where she expressed her irritation at being asked the same questions repeatedly:
“Stop asking people personal questions that are none of your business! I keep saying this. Every time! Are you married? Where is your man? Who is your man?”
She didn’t stop there. In a second slide attached to her post, she jokingly shared an image in response, asking if that had finally satisfied the nosy crowd.
“Now that you have forced me to show you the image in slide 2, are you happy now? Enough is enough,” she added.
In another follow-up post, Jumoke added a cheeky twist:
Where is your man? Who is your man?
What even makes you think it is a man and not men or even ‘mensissss’?
Now that you’ve forced me to reveal them, feel free to count. Hope they help you sleep better tonight.”
She then teased that while it might sound funny, her frustration is very real, closing her post with a Yoruba proverb to drive her message home.
Jumoke Odetola tells off critics asking about her relationship status, reminding everyone that her private life is just that—private.
She’s not alone in her stance. Earlier this year, BBNaija star Uriel Oputa also urged Nigerians to mind their business, listing several personal topics that are nobody’s concern, including relationship status, marriage, and body decisions.
Interestingly, Jumoke had previously introduced her “Odogwu Panranran” in a lighthearted Instagram post where she celebrated her eldest brother for always being there for her. But even that sparked questions, which she’s now made it clear she’s tired of answering.
