The Lagos State Government has sealed DONALD Restaurant, owned by socialite Cubana Chief Priest, for alleged environmental violations.

The restaurant, situated in the upscale Lekki Phase 1, was closed following reports of illegal refuse dumping by two of its staff members. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, Managing Director/CEO of the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), disclosed the development on his X handle.

According to Gbadegesin, the Lekki Estate Residents Association (LERA) alerted LAWMA early on Saturday, May 18, 2025, about waste being dumped along Durosimi-Etti Street. The suspects were apprehended on-site and identified as employees of DONALD Restaurant.

Reports claim the individuals tried to offer a bribe of ₦100,000 to the security team to avoid repercussions, but the offer was rejected. LAWMA’s Monitoring and Compliance Team subsequently sealed the restaurant for violating the Lagos State Environmental Management and Protection Law, 2017.

The incident has sparked various reactions online, with some commenters linking it to Cubana Chief Priest’s alleged personal disputes:
