Nollywood actor and movie producer Lateef Adedimeji is marking a significant milestone in his journey as he celebrates his personal and professional growth.
Sharing a throwback photo on Instagram, he reminisced about his humble beginnings and expressed gratitude for how far he’s come.
In his post, Lateef revealed how, if someone had told him back then that he would achieve what he has today, he would have laughed it off. He shared a humorous yet heartfelt reflection, noting how his life is a testament to the power of perseverance and not giving up.
Lateef advised his millions of fans not to let their backgrounds define their futures, stressing that determination and hard work are key to overcoming challenges. He recalled using a sack as a school bag in his early years, highlighting how far he’s come from those modest beginnings.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, he also encouraged his followers to reflect on their own journeys and celebrate their growth. “You can’t afford to give up,” he wrote, emphasizing that success is for those who keep pushing forward.
The post was met with a flood of reactions from his colleagues and fans, many of whom celebrated his growth:
- Mo Bimpe (his wife) commented, “Thank God oh. Because.”
- Juliana Olayode expressed, “This throwback no be here, the Lord has indeed done it!!”
- Skitmaker Isbae U said, “Blessed.”
- Saga Adeolu added, “Once you give up, you lost already.”
- Uzee Usman shared, “Alhamdulilahi.”
This isn’t the first time Lateef has reflected on his career. Earlier this year, he shared a trailer for his movie, reminiscing about how he transitioned from a backstage crew member to leading a star-studded cast. In a May interview, Lateef also shared his early struggles, including being paid just N4,000 for a lead role in his early career. Despite the low pay, he remained focused, and his natural ability to entertain others opened doors for him in the industry.
