Nollywood actress Lilian Esoro and music executive Ubi Franklin are joyfully marking their son Jayden’s 9th birthday today. The former couple, who have continued to co-parent gracefully since their split, took to Instagram to express deep gratitude to God and share moving words of love for their son.
Lilian offered a solemn prayer, thanking God for preserving Jayden’s life and health, while asking for continued guidance, protection, and blessings over him.
“Thank you for adding another year to my boy’s life,” she wrote. “Let no harm come to him… May his days be long so he can fulfil the purpose for which you brought him here.”
Ubi Franklin also poured out his emotions in a note filled with admiration. He praised Jayden’s growing character, describing him as a source of joy, laughter, and wonder.
“Your heart is full of kindness, curiosity and laughter,” he wrote. “Remember, life is an adventure, and we’re here to cheer you on!”
He concluded with a heartfelt prayer, asking God to keep watch over Jayden and bless him with joy and love always.
Over the years, Lilian and Ubi have occasionally reunited to celebrate their son. From his 8th birthday to his school’s Christmas party, the two have maintained a united front for Jayden’s sake. A fan once teased Ubi about still loving Lilian after a public sighting, and he simply responded with laughing emojis. Not long after, he admitted in an interview that his love for her remains—because of the bond they share through their son.
Lilian and Ubi tied the knot in 2015, welcomed Jayden a year later, and eventually parted ways. Their divorce was finalized in 2021, following several court proceedings.
