Nollywood actor Linc Edochie has publicly distanced himself from the recent actions of his wife, Yinka, following her controversial attacks on May Edochie, the former wife of his younger brother, Yul Edochie.
In a statement shared online, Linc emphasized that he is a man of peace who values his sanity. He clarified that he does not support Yinka’s actions, including posting May’s phone number online, which led to widespread retaliation and criticism.
I usually don’t make careless speeches, but I want to set the record straight. I am a man of peace and value my sanity. For the record, I did not endorse the recent attacks on May, nor did I endorse posting her number online, which has triggered meaningless retaliation. We may not all agree with each other, but we can respect one another. Better to be alone and at peace than to be in a union filled with landmines. Respect,” Linc wrote.
Yinka’s actions have drawn significant backlash, especially from May’s supporters, who viewed her admiration for Judy and Yul Edochie as disrespectful. The controversy intensified after Yinka allegedly shared May’s phone number online, claiming she was responding to harassment from May’s fans.
This isn’t the first time Linc has found himself at odds with his family’s dynamics. Last year, Yul criticized him for advising discretion in his second marriage, mocking Linc’s personal life and accusing him of airing family issues publicly.
