Manchester United have agreed with Chelsea to sign Mason Mount in a deal worth up to £60million ($75.7m).
Mount’s contract at Stamford Bridge has one year remaining. Mount is reportedly keenly interested in a move to Erik ten Hag’s side.
United had a third bid worth 55 million pounds rejected last week but have now agreed to pay an initial fee of £55m plus £5m in difficult add-ons.
Chelsea has given permission to Mount to undergo a medical and finalize personal terms. He will sign a contract until 2028 at Manchester United, with the option for another year.
Chelsea are trimming their bloated squad under new boss Mauricio Pochettino and have sold Kai Havertz, Mateo Kovacic, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. N’Golo Kante, Edouard Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly have moved to Saudi Arabia.
Mason Mount will now travel to Manchester for a medical.
