Nollywood actress Mary Remmy Njoku has cautioned the public to be discerning in prayer, warning that sometimes people intercede for those God is trying to punish.

Actress and filmmaker Mary Remmy Njoku has sparked conversation with a thought-provoking message on prayer and divine judgment. Sharing on Instagram, she advised people to be cautious about praying for others, explaining that some struggles may not be demonic but a form of God’s punishment.

Be careful who you pray for. Sometimes you’re trying to bless someone that God is trying to punish. You’re fasting, interceding, and nothing is shifting. Before you lose sleep, pause. There might be a reason heaven is silent—a hidden sin, a consequence, something you don’t know and may never know,” she wrote.

Mary added that wisdom and discernment are key when offering prayers for others, emphasizing that not every battle is meant to be fought on someone else’s behalf. “Not every struggle is a battle you’re meant to fight. Not every delay is demonic. Sometimes, it’s divine judgment,” she cautioned.

This message follows her recent advice on continuous learning and purpose, where she encouraged people not to let success become a ceiling but a stepping stone. Mary, who has been vocal about personal growth and life after stardom, often challenges social media users and celebrities to think beyond fame and appearances.
