Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mercy Aigbe Adeoti is overjoyed as her 2024 movie, Thinline, receives a nomination at the 11th Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA). Actress Uche Montana, who delivered a stellar performance in the film, has been nominated for Best Lead Actress, marking a significant milestone for the production.
Taking to Instagram, Mercy Aigbe expressed pride in Uche Montana’s nomination and praised the actress for her exceptional portrayal of the character Annie. Mercy described Thinline as a “masterpiece” and expressed optimism that Uche would clinch the award with divine support and fans’ votes.

Thinline is Mercy Aigbe’s second foray into cinema production, following the success of her debut film Ada Omo Daddy, which grossed an impressive ₦187 million at the box office. The movie ranked as the third-highest-grossing film of its time, cementing her position as a competitive filmmaker alongside industry heavyweights like Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham.
Building on this success, Thinline performed remarkably well at the cinema, generating over ₦100 million in revenue.
