Manchester United have set a deadline to complete the deal to sign Chelsea’s Mason Mount this summer. Last week, Man United’s initial offer of £ 40 million for Mount was refused, and on Wednesday, a revised request of £ 45 million plus £5 million in add-ons was also rejected. Mount is entering the final year of his Chelsea contract, and manager Erik, ten Hag of Man United, has made him a significant target for a summer transfer.
It is believed that Man United and Chelsea have made progress in their negotiations and are close to finalizing a £60 million transfer for the former Derby County star.
According to Metro UK, the 24-year-old’s transfer to Old Trafford must be finalized by the end of the next week since the Red Devils want the deal to be done quickly.
Manchester United are set to launch a third bid for the England midfielder but have warned Chelsea that they ‘won’t keep negotiating for too long’ despite agreeing personal terms with the player.
