Job Description
The Network Solutions Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing the local and wide area networks of an organization to ensure maximum uptime for users. The role can include designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.
- Installing, configuring, and supporting network devices and services.
- Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Perform Network Maintenance and System upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
- Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
- Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
- Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team.
- Take professional certifications as may be required to upgrade our OEM partnership status.
- Facilitate regular product and technology training for Marketing and Knowledge sharing purposes.
Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science or a related subject
- Minimum seven (7) years of Experience in designing and deploying complex LAN, WAN, WLAN, and DC Network Solutions.
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification is a key requirement.
- A good understanding of leading network OEMs’ (Cisco, Aruba, Huawei) solution portfolio is a key requirement.
- In-depth understanding of network communication solutions and technologies (e.g., SD-WAN, SD-LAN, ACI, OSPF, MPLS, 802.11, QoS, VoIP, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing project engineers is a key requirement: Setting priorities and managing on-time delivery of tasks.
- Great experience in drafting responses to RFP and RFQ. Demonstrated experience in preparing HLD, LLD, Migration Plans, Test Plans, and other project resources.
- Good understanding and ability to effectively manage key project stakeholders – Internal and External.
