British rapper, Stephanie Victoria Allen, better known by her stage name Stefflon Don, weighs in on the divorce case of the famous footballer, Achraf Hakimi.

The divorce of Moroccan footballer Achraf Hakimi and his wife, Hiba Abouk, has sparked a wave of reactions throughout the world. The football player had all of his assets registered in his mother’s name, leaving his wife with little choice except to divide them equally with him by the law.

Stefflon Don addressed the matter in a tweet, emphasizing that those who contributed to the man’s hardship should be the only ones to partake in his money.

She wrote:

“No woman should be entitled to half of a man’s earnings if she hasn’t struggled with & help him get there.”

See some reactions that followed …

“By law once you get married yours becomes ours even debts. If you dont wanna share you get prenup. Thats why kids are not adviced to get married. A grown man would have taken care of his own finances in honest manner.”

@olis3h noted:

“For sure, but the law has been set that way to protect some women and men who may be left in unfortunate situations following a divorce. It’s sad human beings will still abuse it, but that’s just how the law is set.”
