Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has faced a rollercoaster of emotions following the temporary removal of her YouTube hit, Love in Every Word. Garnering over 7 million views within 72 hours of its release, the movie was taken down due to a copyright claim by Chinonso Obiora, a Canadian-based network engineer. However, after resolving the issue, the beloved film is now back online, and Omoni is stronger than ever.

Love in Every Word, a romantic drama produced by Omoni Oboli and written by Mfon Abasi Michael Inyang, explores themes of love, emotional resilience, and communication in relationships. The movie was removed from YouTube after Chinonso Obiora, who owns Skyberry Studios, filed a copyright infringement claim. This unexpected setback shocked fans and sparked an outpouring of support for Omoni on social media.

Many fans expressed their disbelief and frustration over the removal of a movie that had quickly gained massive popularity. Comments like

This is wickedness” and “7 million views gone just like that” flooded social media, showing solidarity with the actress during the challenging period.

One fan tweeted,

Why exactly did YouTube take down that Omoni Oboli movie? That’s really unfair.” Another wrote, “How can people be this wicked? A movie with over 7 million views is gone. I doubt Omoni would be so careless as not to copyright her work.”

Despite the setback, Omoni took to social media to announce the resolution of the issue. Expressing gratitude for the unwavering support, she encouraged fans to continue watching the movie and to subscribe to her YouTube channel.

Love in Every Word is back!” Omoni wrote. “Thank you for the love, calls, messages, posts, and tweets. There was a little misunderstanding, but it has been sorted out. Let’s make up for lost time. God will forever be glorified.”

This isn’t the first time Omoni has overcome challenges in her career. Last year, she returned to the cinema after a five-year hiatus with The Uprising, which grossed over ₦93 million in its opening week. Her 2019 film, Last Year Single, also achieved remarkable success on Netflix, becoming the top show in Nigeria years after its release.

As one of Nollywood’s most resilient filmmakers, Omoni continues to inspire fans with her determination and passion for storytelling. With Love in Every Word now back online, Omoni’s focus remains on celebrating her triumph and reaching a global audience.
