Nigerian street-hop sensation Habeeb Okikiola, famously known as Portable, is back in the spotlight—this time flaunting stacks of naira notes he received during the grand celebration of fashion mogul Seyi Vodi’s 50th birthday in Abuja.
Sharing a video on Instagram, Portable showed off the bundles of cash he went home with, thanking Seyi Vodi for the opportunity to grace the occasion.
I really appreciate you in my life,” he captioned the video.
The event, which was star-studded with the likes of 2Baba and wife Annie Idibia, Funke Akindele, Eniola Badmus, Ini Edo, and Ayo Makun in attendance, turned into a memorable moment for the controversial singer.
As Portable shows off cash at Seyi Vodi’s birthday party, social media users had mixed reactions:
-
“Richest of all street artists,” one wrote.
-
“Na money wey you pick for yesterday party?” another teased.
-
“EFCC go carry you for naira multination,” a third joked.
A few days before the event, Portable had bragged about his streaming numbers, claiming his success speaks for itself. Taking a jab at critics, he said real stars don’t need to beg for streams.
Since his breakout track “Zazu Zeh” with Olamide and Poco Lee in 2021, Portable has continued to dominate headlines—both for his music and viral antics.
He has shared moments with high-profile names like Phyno, Tiwa Savage, and even American rapper Rick Ross, who gave him a public shout-out in 2023. He’s also been spotted with traditional leaders and political figures, including the Ooni of Ife and MC Oluomo.
At the same birthday bash, a video of Portable respectfully greeting Funke Akindele sparked reactions. The singer, dressed clean and well-groomed, bowed as he greeted her warmly, leaving many fans surprised by his display of humility.
Na today I know say Portable get respect,” a fan commented.
Another wrote, “See him doing like a better person.”
With every public appearance, Portable continues to defy expectations—unpredictable, controversial, but never boring.
