Nollywood actress and babymama of controversial singer Portable, Ashabi, has spoken out following allegations by the singer accusing her of attempting to cause discord in his marriage.
Portable, known for his public outbursts, alleged that Ashabi had been feeding his wife with negative ideas about him. He accused her of seeking clout by interfering in his marriage, saying, “This is why I drag you online… you’re spoiling her mind against me. But my wife still loves me back, una dey vex.”
In what appeared to be a direct response, Ashabi took to social media to defend herself, asserting that despite being an actress, she doesn’t enjoy drama. She expressed her frustration over staying silent for too long and revealed her resolve to speak up.
I don’t like drama or dragging, but I can’t take it anymore,” she stated. Ashabi emphasized her respect for herself as the reason behind her previous silence but declared that she had endured enough.
This isn’t the first time Portable has accused Ashabi of interfering in his relationship with Bewaji. Earlier this year, he alleged that Ashabi was competing with his wife and creating friction in their marriage. Portable’s accusations date back to last year when he warned Ashabi against interacting with his wife behind his back, claiming it led to marital conflicts.
Despite these allegations, Ashabi has continued to show public support for Portable. She has celebrated his achievements, such as his acquisition of a Ford F-150 in April, and expressed gratitude for his release from police custody during his legal troubles.
Ashabi’s devotion to Portable has been evident in her actions. On his birthday, she joined his wife, Bewaji, in celebrating him with heartfelt messages and prayers. She also treated him to a special meal to mark the occasion.
