We are seeking an organized, diligent, and responsible individual to join our growing team. Your primary objective will be to manage the process of purchase requisition, ensure timely supply/delivery of items.
Responsibilities
- Carry out a marketing analysis in order to get the best procurement /purchasing deals
- Analyze sales patterns and inventory levels of existing stock, and stay up-to-date on market changes that can affect the supply and prices of goods. Job
- Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures
- Evaluate prospective suppliers before signing them up to ensure they meet the company’s standards/needs
- Review and evaluate the performance of the suppliers
- Maintain and review all records of purchased goods, including their costs, deliveries and inventories.
- Lead the procurement department in ensuring that it maintains updated data such as information about suppliers’ products and prices
- Hold regular meetings with staff and vendors to discuss the department’s performance and resolve any issues in the procurement process
- Train and supervise the work of the procurement department
- Attend meetings and trade conferences
- Submit regular reports of market survey to Management
- Perform any related tasks as assigned and work closely with other departments
Qualification
- Minimum of BSc/HND in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Must have worked in procurement for at least 7 years, with minimum of 3 years as a Procurement Manager in the automotive industry
- Knowledge of truck spare parts
- Knowledge of ERP or Procurement software is essential
- Supplier Evaluation and Contract Negotiation skills
- Analytical skills
- Procurement and Contract Management experience
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
