Nollywood actress Regina Daniels appears to have reached her breaking point in her marriage to politician Ned Nwoko, after publicly accusing him of targeting her family. On Monday night, the actress went online to allege that Ned ordered the arrest of her siblings, insisting she must return to him and go back to rehab.
Regina, who described herself as trying to remain the “bigger person,” pleaded with him to leave her family out of their issues. In a follow-up post, she revealed that her brother had been beaten “like a criminal” by the Nigerian police and questioned the reason behind the violent arrest. She accused Ned of believing his wealth and connections made him untouchable.
In the wake of the crisis, checks on Regina’s Instagram page show she has unfollowed Ned Nwoko and deleted all their photos and videos together, sparking widespread reactions among fans who believe the actress has finally walked away for good.
Some social media users flooded her comment section with supportive messages:

Just last week, Regina alleged she was facing domestic violence in her marriage. In a viral clip, she tearfully revealed that she no longer felt like a queen in her husband’s house.
Ned Nwoko, however, responded with a statement claiming that his wife was “battling drug and alcohol abuse.” He said his attempts to get her professional help were always rejected and accused her of violent behaviour at home, including attacking staff and damaging property.
In her defence, Regina’s brother Sammy West, who appeared in the viral video, called Ned out for physically assaulting his sister. He stated that, while people online might mock her, he would never tolerate violence against women. Her elder brother Sweezzy also dismissed Ned’s claims of drug abuse, saying no marriage is perfect.
Their younger sister Destiny Daniels later shared photos showing alleged scars from the abuse, debunking any reports that Regina had reconciled with Ned.
Meanwhile, filmmaker Stanley Ontop revealed that Regina’s brother, Sammy West, had been taken to Karu Magistrate Court in Abuja and might be remanded in Keffi Prison, Nasarawa State. He called for his release and criticised Ned for allegedly using his political power against the actress’s family.
“Sammy West has been taken to court as we speak. They want to get a remand order. How I wish I was in Abuja, I’d have made noise there myself,” he wrote on Instagram.
While dealing with the storm in her personal life, Regina has also reflected on her career. The actress, who started acting as a child, recently shared that she will mark 20 years in Nollywood in two years. She admitted it feels both “tiring and fulfilling” and hinted that she may consider retiring soon to focus on her peace and family.
Despite everything, Regina continues to receive massive support from fans who believe she deserves freedom and happiness after enduring so much in her marriage.
