Romeo Lavia has emerged as one of Southampton’s most valuable players, attracting interest from several clubs eager to secure his services before the transfer window closes. Arsenal and Liverpool are top among the interested parties, both teams hoping to strengthen their midfield ahead of next season.
Reports indicate that Liverpool is planning to offer Southampton for Lavia in the upcoming transfer window, positioning themselves ahead of other interested clubs in securing his signature.
Southampton signed the 19-year-old from Manchester City in July 2022, and he was a regular member of the squad for the Saints last season, starting in 26 of his 29 Premier League appearances.
Despite his impressive performances, Lavia could not prevent Southampton from finishing at the bottom of the Premier League table, resulting in their relegation to the Championship for the first time since 2012.
Liverpool is in the market for midfielders and has already landed Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
