Sabinus reacts to the ongoing beef between Very Dark Man and Paulo Okoye. Nigerian skitmaker and content creator Sabinus, also known as Mr Funny, has weighed in on the heated feud between social media activist Very Dark Man (VDM) and talent manager Paulo Okoye.
The conflict started when VDM made controversial claims about celebrities sneaking into Davido’s wedding. He specifically targeted Iyabo Ojo, Paulo Okoye’s girlfriend, suggesting she only attended the after-party. Offended by these remarks, Paulo defended Iyabo, lamenting VDM’s condition and predicting a miserable future for him.
In response, VDM bluntly advised Paulo to stay out of his issues with Iyabo. Paulo escalated the tension further, challenging Davido and others to choose sides between him and VDM.
Via his Instagram story, Sabinus noted how social media has blurred age boundaries, leading people to forget the importance of respect. He emphasized,
Social media don really make us forget say most people are not our age mates. No matter what, always remember respect is reciprocal, and we have a life after social media. No respect again, Kai.”
Very Dark Man was present at Davido’s wedding, seemingly monitoring notable attendees like Iyabo Ojo. The bad blood between Iyabo and VDM dates back to the investigation of Mohbad’s death. Iyabo was actively involved in Mohbad’s second burial and investigation into his death, alongside Tonto Dikeh. They provided a proper coffin for Mohbad’s burial and sympathized with his widow, Wunmi, which conflicted with VDM’s insistence on a DNA test for Mohbad’s son—a test that Wunmi resisted.
