Sarah Martins Slams Nigerians for Hypocrisy Over Missing Ladies

Nigerian actress Sarah Martins has expressed her disappointment with the hypocrisy of Nigerians regarding the case of two missing women, Celine and her Ghanaian friend, Afiba, who disappeared after traveling to Abia State to meet someone they had met on Facebook.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Sarah criticized Nigerians for judging and condemning the women, pointing out that many people have found love through social media. She urged the public to stop harassing the missing women, emphasizing that anyone could find themselves in a similar situation.

Nigerians are hypocrites! Same people who met the love of their lives on social media are busy bashing the ladies that visited Black Sheep abi na Black Sheriff. Truth be told, most of us meet our partners on social media, so stop using it as an opportunity to bully those innocent ladies. It is not fair! It could have been anyone.”

Sarah shared her own positive experiences of meeting good people on social media, including gospel singer Moses Bliss, who met his wife through Instagram. She highlighted the need to differentiate between condemning inappropriate online behavior and unjustly criticizing those who genuinely seek connections online.

Someone like me that doesn’t even go out… I can’t remember the last time I stepped out of my house and agreed to exchange numbers with strangers. I’ve met good people on this app, and a lot of you even got married through this same social media. Condemn online sex hawking (hook-up/runs, etc.) but not someone who met online with genuine intentions. Even Moses Bliss met his beautiful wife on IG, and the online relationship turned into a physical relationship, then marriage.”

Sarah concluded by calling for empathy and understanding, asserting that the missing women likely believed they had met a responsible person.

Stop using every opportunity to talk down on women. The ladies I saw in those videos were looking decent, and I believe they all thought they’d met a responsible man for themselves. It is well! God will help us.”
