Saying Goodbye to Paul Grant: A Loss for the Film Industry

Actor Paul Grant, who played various memorable roles in Star Wars, Harry Potter, Willow, and Labyrinth, has been confirmed dead on March 20 at the age of 56. The actor collapsed on March 16 outside King’s Cross station in London and was immediately taken to the hospital. However, he was declared brain-dead and passed away four days later.

Grant’s daughter, Sophie Jayne Grant, confirmed his death to Sky News and expressed her heartbreak. In her statement, she said

I’m heartbroken… No girl deserves their dad to be taken away… He was so well known and loved [for his work]. He’s gone too soon.”

Paul Grant, who was born in Hertfordshire, England, began his acting career in the 1980s. He has since then appeared in many popular movies. This is including the 1988 fantasy film Willow and the 1986 cult classic Labyrinth. He played a goblin alongside the legendary David Bowie. However, his most notable role was as an Ewok in the 1983 film Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi.

Apart from his work in the film industry, Grant was also an active member of the charity organization Little People UK, which supports people with dwarfism. His advocacy for people with dwarfism earned him respect and admiration from his colleagues and fans alike.

Paul Grant is survived by his girlfriend, Maria, his two daughters, one son, stepchildren, and grandchildren. His death is a great loss to the entertainment industry. Consequently, his contributions to cinema will always be remembered.
