Nigerian singer, Michael Adebayo Olayinka, better known as Ruger, has responded to the criticisms that have followed his recent musical performance in Canada. Currently, on tour in Canada, the “Girlfriend” crooner was seen in a viral video dancing sensually with women and eliciting intense reactions from his audience. Ruger was shown on the video inviting five women to dance with him and then energetically interacting with each woman’s butt.
This added an erotic element to the performance that enraged the audience. One of the women, nevertheless, seemed to be offended by his interactions with her rear. Many others criticized Ruger for what they saw as an unnecessary erotic show during his theatrical performances in the wake of the video’s widespread online comments. Others cautioned him to exercise caution when dancing with and touching women abroad since they might later accuse him of sexual assault and harassment.
In response, Ruger responded to the remarks on his Instagram story, dismissing them as an attempt to lessen the joy he experiences with his female admirers. He called the Nigerian critics “trolls” and shamed them for being unable to afford fuel because of the current price increase brought on by the termination of the fuel subsidy.
“It’s funny how these Naija twitter trolls struggling to buy fuel try to spoil our fun. The fun never stops”.He wrote.
