Sophia Sophia Momodu Opposes Financial Bullying of Women

Sophia Momodu, Davido’s first baby mama, has taken to social media to speak out against the financial bullying of women by some men. In a series of tweets, the businesswoman expressed her disgust at the practice, which she claimed was all too common in Nigeria.

Sophia Momodu asserts that it is unacceptable for men to financially bully women into staying with them, especially when children are involved. She called out the lack of protection for women and children under Nigerian law and called for action to address the issue.

She wrote,

Financially bullying a woman into staying with you has got to be the most disgusting thing a man can do. Especially when children are involved. There’s got to be a special place in hell for people who intentionally punish innocent children.”

Sophia highlighted the prevalence of financial abuse and the lack of support for women forced to suffer in silence. Sophia criticized how the system often enables and even encourages this behaviour and called for more effective measures to be put in place to protect women and children in Nigeria.

Her tweets have sparked a conversation on social media, with many applauding her for speaking out on such an important issue. Some have shared their experiences of financial abuse, while others have called for a change in how the law deals with such cases.
