Job Description
As a Special Projects Manager at Sankore, you will play a pivotal role within our team, by leading the charge in driving strategic projects and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of special projects from conception to delivery.
- Identify and propose special projects aligned with organizational goals and growth strategies.
- Communicate project updates and milestones to stakeholders at all levels.
- Enterprise software management such as Google Workspace and Zoho One.
- Optimize resource utilization and adjust as needed.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and monitor project expenses.
- Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for all strategic projects.
- Establish and maintain high-quality standards for project deliverables.
- Generate regular status reports and updates for stakeholders and leadership.
- Implement agile methodologies or other suitable frameworks for efficient project delivery.
- Evaluate project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Hard Science, or any related field. Master’s Degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, preferably in the investment industry or related financial services sector.
- Proven experience in a managerial role related to technology, innovation and project management.
- Proven experience in project management, preferably with a focus on special or strategic projects.
- Has a passion for user experience, and project management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Knowledge in driving innovation.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
